Statistics: Russia’s inflation at 0.1% Jul 19–Mon, 4% from Jan 1
MOSCOW, Jul 27 (PRIME) -- Russia’s consumer price inflation amounted to 0.1% from July 19 through Monday after rising 0.1% in the previous week and reached 4% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said Wednesday.
Sugar prices rose 1.1%, buckwheat prices increased 0.9%, chicken prices grew 0.4%, prices for butter and sunflower oil, rye bread, flour, chocolates and caramel rose 0.2%, while prices for mutton, pork, cheese, salt and millet fell by 0.1-0.2%.
Prices for fruit and vegetables fell 1.5% on average. Cucumber prices decreased 6%, tomato prices went down 4.8%, carrot prices fell 3.1%, potato prices decreased 2.2% and apple prices rose 0.4%.
Gasoline prices grew 0.1% and diesel prices were flat.
